Himalayan Grandeur
In the autumn of 2019 I travelled to Nepal for the first time to visit the Himalayas. Seeing the highest mountains in the world had been a dream of mine since I glimpsed them inĀ India many years ago.
I travelled first to the Khumbu region which features the highest concentration of peaks over 8000m in the world. Many of them can be seen in this series- Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Cho Oyu. I then trekked into the Annapurna region and caught the beginnings of winter beneath more grandiose peaks.
In terms of raw and unbridled beauty, these giant peaks have no equal. Standing in the wide, glacier carved valleys beneath the gargantuan peaks inspires a profound feeling of awe and humility. I hope you can gain a small sense of that feeling in these photos.
